Microsoft XBox 360 - High Def vs Normal TV

Friday, November 25, 2005

One glorious feature of the XBox 360 is that it can put out a high definition TV signal. All of us players with HDTV systems will get to see amazing clarity. First, it's important to comment that the XBox 360 has two separate cables that it can use. One puts out the high quality HD signal. The other cable is the STANDARD TV signal that we know and love from existing game systems. So if you don't have a HD TV yet, don't panic. As long as you get the standard cable, you will be able to play the system on your standard TV. That being said, it's important to note that the games will look FAR better on a HDTV, because of course the HDTV has a far better resolution. Here's how TV resolution works. Read full details...

Your Xbox 360 crash every 20 minutes - Then you have to do this.

Your Xbox 360 crash every 20 minutes - Then you have to do this. (or) How to fix your overheating XBOX 360 ? A GAMER fed up with his new Xbox 360 crashing every 20 minutes has fixed the problem by raising the power supply off the ground with some string. Dan, from Duluth, or 'goldeneyemaster' as he is known, told the game spot forum here that he thinks the main reason that the xBox 360 freezes is because the power supply overheats. The solution is to lift the power supply off the floor and allow the air to circulate better around it. Another simple method involved getting a box with no cover and putting the power supply on the edges. As a result, he was able to leave his machine on for a stonking seven hours without it freezing up. Other gamers to the site report that the idea works for them too. Many of them note with relief that since it is the power supply that is clearly the problem, rather than the box itself, it should be fairly easy for Microsoft to replace.

Best Buy claims that XBOX 360 can burn CDs and DVDs - How true is that?

Best Buy have published an advert for Xbox 360, in which they claim the console can "burn CDs and DVDs". burn1 (bûrn) v., burned or burnt (bûrnt), burn·ing, burns. To record data on (a compact disk, for example). Unless Microsoft have a big surprised planned, this is incorrect. Data from CDs can be saved onto the Xbox 360 hard drive, but making your own CDs and DVDs from this cannot be done. Maybe this is an error similar like that made by Argos, who claimed that the PSP can play DVD movies.
